pROTESTANTS nEED TO bECOME pROTESTANTS IN tRUTH aGAIN, AND cALL dOWN THE rOAMAN fAKE cHURCH

 I don't feel up to this, not to the topic and not even to the physical exertio of sitting at tmy computer to type it.   But I am definiotely called to write something about this however inadeuate it muar vw.  

I listened to an old book on the subject of the papacy as the antichrist by H Grattan Guinness but it's been a few weeks since I finished it, just haven't had theenergy to come to the computer.  The reader of the book was overly dramatic and inserted his own opinions here and there, which I've neve encountered in a reader of an audio book before, which was rather distratacting and made me wonder if I  was getting an accurate sense of the book.  

The message that must be put across somehow is that the Roman Church is far more of a threat to Christianity and to the world than an;ybody has any idea in our day.  The Protestant Church had s all but abandoned her first responsibility in this regard.  What is the Church called to but to identify the enemy of CHrist and follow the Reformers in keeping him from rising to power again.  That is the whole meaning of Protestantism, but what do we see in so called Protestant churches today but a nearly complete abdication of that responsibility.  HJogn MacArthur keeps the message alive.  So does Chris Pinto.  There are others I'm not as familiar with.  Richard Bennet died a few years ago.  I think his website is probably still up[, the rean Beacon I think.   But even the ministries to the Catholics, to try to save them from their doom in that soul killing institution  are way too gentle about it, apparently fearing to drive them away if they speak as stronlgly as the subject warrants.  

Catholicism is treated these days as just another denomination even by most Protestantsa.  The nonChristian wrolrld thinks of it as the main representative of Christianity in the world, ooh miserable travesty.  I mentioned in a previous post that Eric Metaxas seemed to be going out of his way tro avoid the problem of Catholicism in his recommendations ot Colson's efforts to unify all who call ghemselves CHristians for the purpose of taking on the evils in the culture.    I recently heard a good discussion of the Christian character of western civilization on the podcast Uncommon Knowledge where the Inquiition was treated as an unfortunate failur of Christianity, certainly not the sign of the nonChristian nature of the Roman Church that is the true explanation of it.  The same people always bring up the religionus wars too, as an argument against Christianity, without the slightest understanding of the cause of those wars even though theyu are historians and thinkers.  That sort of analysis is jjust not part of any secular study these days, though I was impressed that they had all come to the recognition that Christianity played the dominating role in establishing western Ciilzation.  These men were Doublas Murray and Tom Hollandj.  Also Steven Meyter but he's a real Christian and I'm not sure of his view of these thigns, I don't think he had must to say baout it on that panel.  

An;yway the book by H Grattan Guinness is a very stron gdenuniciation of the Roman Church and of the Protestant abdication of responsibility to keep it in the public eye as the great threat it is to civilization as well as to the true Church of Christ.   He madkes the point that after the Reformation the nations that became Protestant wen t on to progress and prosper in all sort of ways while the nations that remained Catholic, or really, Roman, stagnated as they always had.  America really owesa our liberties and properity to Protestantism, to the Reofrmation, no, not to theE Enlgihtenment.  And although we have many names for our enemies these days, Marxism Wokeism, Communism, and so  on, there is no doubt a strong Romanism influence influencing it all while flying under the radar.  It emerges at least in its support of open borders and flooding the nation with foreigners, manu of whome are Catholic as well as direct enemies such as terrorist Islamists.   I'm sure Chris Pinto has had a lot to say about this over the last year or so when I haven't been able to tget to his website.  Even now I'm having trouble listening to it though I've been able to get back now and then.  His is Noise of Thunder raDIO.

End times Antichrist

For some time I've been aIN A STRUGGLE WITH THE pRE tRIBULATION rAPTURE END TIMES ESCHATOLOGY FOR THEIR IDEA THAT THE aNTICHRIST IS ONLY GOING TO E KNOWN JUST BEFORE HE COMES TO POWER.  i'VE BEEN PERSUADED OF HE rEFORMATION VIEW OF THE aNTICHRIST AS THE rOMAN pApacy, the final Antichrist to be the last Pope whenever he comes at the right time.  I've accepted some of the Pre Trib scenario about the very last  SSatanic playing out of the Antichrist's persecution of true Christians, along the lines of the persecutions by ghe Roman Church in the middle Ages against Christians anbd other supposed  heretics.  

Lately I've had some other problems with ehte Pres Trib cenario.  For instance I'm dcoming to think that the first five seals of Revelation Six are jot part of the Great Tribulation but evils  that have existed for the last two thousand years.  Revlation Six  is future it seems to me, all those sings in sun and moon and earthquake and so on heralding the tribulation.  I odon't yet know how to understnd the plamecement of thje rolling up of the heaven like a scroll and so on, but it's future in any case.   And the martyrs of Revelation Five are a particular problem for the Pre Trib scenario in my mind because fotr one thing they are described as "souls', meaning they are not in their glorified bodies as all those raptured would be.  Of course if this occurred after the Raputre they'd be gpart of the tribulation martyrdomes so nothat wouldn't be expected, but I just can't see a whole group of martyrs waiting for thei r fellow martyrs to show up who were madew in the very few years that would be all that could occur if the first five seals were part of the seven year Tribulstion period.   But I don't think that any more.  I think the martyrs are first the martyrs of the Caesars, and then the martyrs of the Roman papacy of the Middle Ages.  That means there are yet more martyrs to come during the seven year tribultion that is  about to be unleacshed.    

So now I thinkthe WSeventieth Week of Daniel, or the seven hyear Great Tribulation starts with the opening of the Weeventh seal, and that the ratprue has not yhet occurreds.    When it is to coccur I haven't yet understood but I'm starting to think it may be just when Jesus returns or perhaps just before the final wrath of the vials, or a bit earlier.  But I still have a problem with tyhere being two separate grops of believers and I know the pre trib system accepts that idea.  

I think it could all get starte with Pope Leo's confirming a covenant, accporeding to the book of Daniel, with Israel.  I hink that may be the next thing on the proophetic agenda.  But I'm still pondering all this and praying for God's leading.

Cultural Marxism is a Big Enemy the Chruch Needs to Face Down, but Romanism is Worse

 For some ime I'd wantend to hear the book by Eric Metaxas titled "Letter to the American Church" but couldn't find an audible version I could access.  Finally I did, through my Alexa device.  Never would have guessed she'e could be such a great help.  So I finally heard the book and I had mixed reacgtions to it.  This was  writtern a few years abgo, before trump became President and he was exhortin g the Church to stand up against the trends in the cuolture that are Marxist inspired and anti God, such as the transgender insanity, gay marriage, Critical Race Theory, Cancel culture, and so on.  Also the lockdown imposesd on the churches by the government durin gthe pandemic, which very few had opposed.  

All a good message though since Trump has taken on a lot of that since he was elected I wonder what Metaxas has to say about that and I haven't yet tracked it  down.   He did a good job of emphasizing the fact that if we are the Church we have faith in God's power and in Jesus' conquest of death, so that we should have no fewr of being cancelled or eeven killed ourselves if we are true to our calling to be salt and light in even the most threatening cultural environemtns.  Ours hasn't yet gon ethat far but it has gone far enough to be quite intimidating and to take definite courage in the face of its threats and ridicule and scorn.   Metaxas compares our situation to Germany in the thirties before the full fledged  horrors of Naxism had taken over, when it was becoming uncomfortable to speak out but wasn't yet quite the threat of the death camps and other intimidatings.   His gook was meant to warn the churches that it is our job to stand up against the attempts of a godless culture to take over and tyrannize us all into submission to their anti God agenda and that if we don't we are allowing it to grow into something like Nazi German;y.

The threat is still there although Trump has made great tstrides in his first six months toward undoing a lot of it.  Al it would take is the Left to win back power and the whole thing could be reversed in a flash.

My mixed reacton was larhgely a reaction to his holding up Chuck Colson as a good example of somehowone who faced down the evil culture, and while I won't argue with that part of the message I did notice that he never objected to Colson's willingness to join with Catholicism in these efforts, and not just as a poltiical alliance but on the ground that we share a Chricstian message, which we do not.    Metaxas also refferred to the Lutheran influence in Germany as having become eweakneed by Hitler's time while never once mentioning that Luther was combating the Roman Church, that it was the Roman Church that was the grave threat to civilization at one time.  As I listened to Metaxas it seemed one could get the impression that Luther was battling not Romanism but merely a tyrannical secular culture.

I suspect Metaxas dopesn't see the Catholic Roman church as the enemey.  I couldn't be wrong but there is no hint of it in many places where it should have been expressed in his book.  To my mind that wrecked the whole message.    Hew even critizized John MacArthur for failing to join with Colson in the Manhattan Declaaration, but MacArthur would have refused because of Colson's embracing of Romanism as sharing the Christian gospel, not because he opposes a political alliance.     

I  was focused for some weeks on the Cration Evolution debate and the sciebntific positions of Creationism, but suddenly I realized that God doesn't want me there, he wasnts  me here.  Romanism is a real enemy and few recognize it any more and much as I would like to just let it alone for a long time I don't think God wants me to do that.  I am certainly no great scholar of these things bnut  He has given me enoughn of an understandihg and sense of His calling to realize I've got to use whatever little I have to  talk about it and with more sgfdnvgh ghan usual.

Loose End about the creatiiionist podcast

Listening back with Read  Aloud I'm reminded that I did hope the creationist podcast guys would  be open to my thoughts but now I'm aware that they are just too busy with their own work and I'm sorry I bothered them.  It's embarrassing that I wrote them so much bu I won't tdo it again.  Anyway it's juist aother case where I let my imagination get ahead of me, hoping for some help with things that I should know by now the Lord for whatever reason isn'g goint to give me.    He'll guide me though, I just have to bridle my manicky statemenes of mind and let Him.

Another Conglomerate of a Post

 After such a long breeak it's hard to get back to the blog.   I was hoping to get ore involved in the creationism issues but even havibn g a very inspiring poidcast to listen to isn't the  connection I think I need with the people involved in those issues.  The Lord seems to encourage this line of thought but I don't know what to do with it yet.  Just keep praying about it of course.

Haven't had much to say about the political scene lately but now it looks like we might be getting involved in the war with Israel against Iran, judging by Trump's warning to people to get out of Tehran earlier this evening.   As he keeps saying it's too bad Iran wouldn't come to the table and work out a deal but they wouldn't.  Israel Hhas done a ot toward defanging their nuclear capabiitya which is the opbjection ive of the US as well as Isreal, but there's apparently more to do.  The whole thing is very nervous making but then Iran's having the bomb is the most nervous making of all so it's clear it had to come to this.  Iran with a nuclear bomgb capability is unthinkable.\\

Then the usual crazy stuff with the proprotests in California against Trump for doing his job of calling in the national guard to protect federal property.  Calling him a King?  That's laughable.  But their whole mindset is almost as scary as Iran's havin gthe bomb.

Back to the creationism podcast for a moment.  The latest show aired early on Monday, part two of a three part series they are doing on the aftermath of the Flood, thre first one being about the effets of the tectonic violence durin gthe Flood, which brought about the volcanoes and earthqyakes we still experience, this second one beingh about the animals on the ark and their relation to the Created Kids.  And how we got our modern species from those.  

I often find myself disagreeing with thos or that jtheory of the creationists and of course the thouyght immediately follows Who am I to have a disagreement with scientiests anyway?  Well, I'm nobody but I do and oh well.    Anyway, the mai didea about the tectonic movement that is apparently current with tin Creaitonism ingeneral is that it began at the beginning of the Flood, in fact brought it about.  As I poindered that idea it just seemed wrong tooo me.  Too much acitvitiy for the laying down of the strata to have survived as well as they did during the fllod, there being clear signs that it all survived pretty much instanct as the Geological Column, and that it was only after the Flood that the disturbances occured that broke it up, twisted it and so on.  That is clear on the cross section of the Greand Staircase area I like so much.  

jOn the subject of the Created Kinds I've had problems there too and i that case I haven't given it anywhere near the thought I've given to the strata but I did spend some time on it.  It seems to me the Creationists find too many Kinds.  Where I find all BIrds to be a Kind, though I do have some doubts there I still need to unravel, they find many.  In this episode they focused on the camel and the fact that it can hybridize with the llama, which was an interesting piece of infofmration since I haven't been up on those animals.  If animals can hyridize, that is, have offspirring together, that should mean they belong to the same Kind.  Makes sense.  But then they find that it was a camel that was taken onto the ark, not a camellama as it were, and that leads them to think there was in fact be two separate kinds here, camel and llama.  ThAT'S BECAUSE YOU COULD GET A CAMEL AND A LLAMA FROM A CAMELLAMA AFTER THE ARK LANDED, BUT IF THE TWO DIFFERENT ANIMALS WERE ON THE ARK THAT CHANGES THE PICTURE OF WHAT THE ORIGINAL kIND WAS.

Anyway.  In other news, I'm listening again to ndrew Muray's Divine Healing.  I never thoughts I could be persuaded of that but the more I listen the more convinced I am that the Lord would heal us as a part of our redemption if we believed.  Belif is always the requriement.  Hard to ddrum up believe of course.  

Very messy post I'm afraid.  I try tso hard to disciplune my fingers but they seem to have their own ideas about what they want to type.  

Catching up after my long break

 Thrtee months away, wow.  Computer crash followed by a couple weeks before deciding on getting a new one, which of course I was unable to navigate due to my macular degeneration.  Then, having nobody to help with that for quite a while , after some conversations back and forth with freinds and family Igot an Alexa device and she's been a great help.   She gives me the definition sof words as well as the time and date and temperatio  inside and outside, plays me aubdible books and podcasts.  I don't remember how it happened but through alexa I discovered the podcast "Let's Talk Creation" with Paul Garner and TOdd Wood, where the two of them discussion mostly the science of creationism but also theological matters that underlie Creationism.    I don't know how I failed to discover them earlier but I think it's probably a good thinkhgthat I didn't because I'm a binge listener to things I like and this way I had a great backlog of shows to listen to.  Having to wait the two weeks between shows would have driven me crazier than I am alreaydy.  

That pocast has been an enornouis blessing for me.  They discuss all the issues I've spent years off andon thinking about, as well as educating me in the general direction of Creationist science.   I never could make use of the creationist websites, too hard to find rthings I wanted to learn about, and a lot of it is way to technical for me.  Now and then Todd and Paul have a program tjat is way too much jargon but for the most part they avoid that and manage to keep thihngs to a level that is both interesting and accessible to a nonscientist.  

Just discovering people who can talk on this leel revives all my interest in my own theories and thoughts about the issues and I'm now way too eager to find a way to try to get them to read my stuff.  I've already sent them too much in a couople of emails and am feeling rather guilty about that.   I can't stop writing it out I suppose but I don't hae to send it.  I hope they havn'et been too mput off and might be interested enough to read some of it.   Of course I think I'e found the wa to topple evolution altogheter, but they call that Magic Bullet thinking and say it isn't going to happenen.  That hasn'[t tdeterred me but I'm not tgoint to try it out on them.  Not het anyway.  Maybe not ever I suppose.  But I'vew also worked out a lot of my own creationist scenarios athat I would love for professionsals to take seriously.  No guarntees there either of course but I haven't had anyone to  talk to at all about anyh of the stuff I've done in this area.  Just the evolutionists at EvC forum who are all greared to finding out any way they can to shoot me down and that gets pretty tiresssome, although oever the years of participating on that forum I have learned a lot from them.  Or been inspired to learn a lot anyway.

Finallyh a granson graduated from high school and the family came for a visit.  TotBoth my sadaughter and son in law are very helpful with the coputer problewm so I can now return to my blog and to YouTube and even, surprise of all surprises, write an email.  I need my daughter's help.  I can type the thing blind but I need her to edit it and put in the title and recipient's address and she's able to do that from her home a state away.  Working out find so far.  I am having a probl;em with the read aloud stuff.  It's too different from the old computer so I just hjaven't taken the time to try toget get used to it.  

When IU was so rudely interrupted three months ago by the computer crash I'd just prognosticated that I thought the current Pope could survive his illness and even go on tto be the End TImes Antichrist.  He kept drecovering and even went home so I thought maybe my guess wowas going to come true.  But it didn't, he died and now we have a new candidate for the End Times Antichrist.  And of course I'll be watching him too.  Looking for that signing of a covenant with Isareal.  Or confirmation of a covenant as the book of Daniel has it.  \\The usual hateful things being  

done by the Leftist over the last few months, hateful, evil, insane, antiConstitutional, built on twisted lies.  If I spentd too much time thinking about it my health seems to suffer from it somehow.  Hard to believew the craziness that's going on, destrubctive evil violent craziness.  That they blame on their opponenets.  

But the Creationist podcast lifts my spirits and gives me something more constructive to think about.  Also listening to some inspiring uaaudio books.

As usual I feel the mistakes rolling out from m fingertopips.  How depressing.  But I'll stop now.

The Upside down crowd still rage and are still dangerous

 watching protests against Trump and Musk's efforts to identify and cut down on waste,k fraud and abuse of tazpayer money.  They say it's terrifying what these men are doing.  They emphasize that Musk is not elected.  They say they are doing something unconssitutional, that they are taking away American freedoms and some say stealing our money.  They see threat to our grandchildren to destroy our democracy, they want Congress to act to curtail this misuse of power.  

THIS is what is realling terrifying.  THIS is really the threat to democracy, this craziness, this absolutely insane misunderstanding about what Trump and Musk are doing which is completely conssituional and very much needed to KEEP our democracy functioning, and without which the country will be destroyed.   They have no idea whatever thart what they are doing , Trump and Musk, is done by all Presidencts and that they all use UNelected people to do the work, tat's how the work gets done.  This is standard perfectly consissituional procedure and they are the ignorant ones who are threatening the nation.   Threatienint the future for their grandchildren.  THEY are the destroyers.  Flying our American flag upside down.    THIS is the terrifying threat, ad it is a threat against the first real sane commonsensical effor tto save the nation in decades.    

Is it a matter of not hearing the truth?  Being deceived by the media?  Or just being so incdoctrinated by leftist ideology they can't think tstright at all.     THEY are the threat.  Wow, this is the horroro.  I can only hope it's not a big movementg but I know they've got big money behind them.   

Pray pray pray for truth and reality and reasonableness and righteousness to win.  Pray pray pray.  Because ther eare way too many people who are dangerously misled.   Pray pray pray.    I'm glad we have Trump now but  the forces of darkness that have been working against him for years are still at it.
